From an exciting line of nonfiction books designed for early-emergent to fluent readers, to engaging, on-level nonfiction books supporting the curriculum at the elementary grades, and curriculum-related topics for middle school students, our titles lead children to a lifetime of learning through high-quality, high-interest materials.
First Concepts (Grades Pre-K–K)
These books focus on foundational concepts that are the basis for all future vocabulary acquisition and comprehension; introduction to basic vocabulary and concepts such as colors, numbers, letters, same and different, shapes, and so much more!
Early Readers (Grades K–1)
These books feature accessible language for beginning readers, include strong photo-text correlation, and addresses a multitude of social studies/science topics in a manner that are easy to comprehend for early readers. They are always written at a 0.9 ATOS level or lower (F&P B-C) while still being quizzable by Accelerated Reader.
Leveled Readers (Grades 1–2)
These books are aimed at the early elementary reader but build go into a bit more detail than Early Readers and serve as quick but solid introductions to early elementary topics such as animals, biographies, and other relevant social studies, science, and math topics for Grades 1 to 2.
Hot Topics (Hi/Lo)
These edgy, fun books are created to appeal to the reluctant reader. They cover high-interest subject matter in a quick, accessible format that is visually stunning and appealing.
Fun Fact Files (Grades 3–4)
Fun facts are a gateway for readers to learn more about science, social studies, and more. This ongoing, popular series offers readers a new way to explore topics they’re interested in, including volumes on US history, space, fish, and even other animals! Full-color photographs and historical images illustrate concepts, illuminate time periods, and give readers an up-close look at what they’re reading about all in 20 fun facts.
100 Facts You Should Know (Grades 4–6)
This ongoing series presents 100 of the most interesting facts about high-interest subjects. Stunning images, diagrams, and charts entertain and teach readers about history, science and animals. Each spread contains a quiz or activity to aid in reading comprehension.
LitLinks (Grades K–8)
LitLinks is a collection of titles from Gareth Stevens Publishing that is connected with fiction that inspires student inquiry and invites critical thinking. The familiar format of fiction introduces a topic and gives the reader confidence to explore and compare its nonfiction counterpart. These sets include a comprehensive learning guide.
