Fire-breathing dragons, evil witches, and terrifying creatures from deep within the sea have captured the human imagination for centuries. Whether or not they're based in any facts doesn't matter as long as their fearful tales continue to intrigue and attract new generations. This series includes a recent addition to the pantheon of monsters, the Chupacabra, which was reportedly first spotted only about 20 years ago as well as books tackling the long history of vampires, werewolves, and witches. Full-color images and illustrations show these monsters in their many incarnations around the world.
