Map Basics: Set 2
Map Basics
Social studies textbooks are often full of different
kinds of maps and most students have a chance to interact with U.S. maps or
globes in their classrooms. Often, these maps help them figure out where
something is in the world, but maps can share a lot more information than just
location! Topographical maps show the contours of the land. Resource maps show
where natural resources can be found and how abundant they are. This series
gives readers the tools they need to identify, interpret, and use different
kinds of maps, including road maps, climate maps, and physical maps.
